May 11: AppZen, an AI platform for modern finance teams, has established its presence in India with anew office in Pune. The new office would look towards creating and driving innovation, said a report.
The target that the Pune office has set is unique because it has some of the best talent in the world, is home to a growing startup ecosystem and is one of the best places to live in this region, feels the company.
As part of its Pune office set up, the company has roped in Mandar Munagekar as Head of Operations and he will have responsibilities of hiring and managing the Pune office. It is being reported that the AppZen office in Pune will be a hotbed of innovation, working in tandem with the company’s teams in San Jose and Phoenix.
The new office is located at the Pavillion on Senapati Bapat Road, in the center of Pune. AppZen recently surpassed the 1,200 customer mark, attracting more than 25 percent of Fortune 500 companies, including Amazon, Salesforce, Airbus , and Comcast.
The company had in 2018 quintupled its revenue and expanded from 25 to 160 employees. AppZen expects to add another 150 employees by the end of the year, as well as expand its go-to-market efforts globally.
AppZen had also expanded its AI platform to include the real-time audit of supplier invoices and contracts, which complements its award-winning Expense Audit product. In a quarter, the new Invoice and Contract Audit product already represents one-fourth of the AppZen pipeline, indicating clear demand and massive market opportunity, the report added.
