May 21: Personal products major Colgate Palmolive Ltd (BSE: 500830, NSE:COLPAL) hit 52-week high of 1285 on Monday trade on better Q4FY 18 results.
According to Markets Mojo, there are several factors working in favor of Colgate. Earnings Per share is highest at Rs 6.94, net sales was highest at Rs 1091.66 cr and operating profit to net sales was highest at 28.17%.
Return on equity of 131.45, on assets of 49.09 and net profit margin of 21.26 are attractive. It is trading at a PE of 53.15. RSI of 69.91 indicates bullishness, ADX of 33 indicates uptrend and MACD has witnessed a bullish crossover. Colgate Palmolive has outperformed the Sensex on weekly monthly and annual basis.
Other major scrips that defied negative market sentiment and hit 52 week highs were Britannia Industries, Bajaj Finance, Firstsource Solutions and Hindustan Unilever. Consumer durables, personal care segment turned bullish while most sectors witnessed heavy selling.
BSE Sensex fell 0.67% to Rs 34,616.13 while Nifty fell 0.75% to Rs 10.516.70.
