Nov 28: Sharika Enterprises Ltd has become the 211th company to be listed on BSE SME platform on Monday. The company is engaged in the business of Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) contracts, specialized assembling, trading activities, erection services, representation services to majorly power generation, transmission and distribution sector.
It also provides services of installing power transmission EHV cables, designing and installing EMS (Energy Management System) and allied distribution automation Equipment’s such as Autoreclosers, Fault passage indicators (FPI) etc., designing and installing of Solar Power Generation Plants.
Sharika Enterprises based in Delhi came out with an initial public offering of 32,25,000 Equity Shares of Rs.10 each at a premium price of Rs.43 aggregating to Rs. ‘1386.75’ lakh. The company has successfully completed its public issue on November 17, 2017. Mumbai based Swastika Investmart Limited was the lead manager for Sharika Enterprises Limited.
SEBI came out with detailed guidelines on 18th May, 2010 for launching of SME Exchange/Platform. BSE became the first stock exchange to get the approval from SEBI and launch its SME platform on 13th March, 2012.
BSE SME Market Leader
The 211 companies listed on BSE SME Platform have raised Rs.1710.53 crores from the market and total market capitalization of 211 companies as on 27th November, 2017 is 19,8590.49 Crores. BSE is the market leader in this segment with a market share of 68 percent.
Ajay Thakur, Head, BSE SME said that BSE SME Platform has become an alternative engine for growth of SME companies by offering a great opportunity to entrepreneurs to raise equity capital for expansion and acquisition. It further helps the SMEs to create jobs, visibility, credibility and wealth creation.
BSE has more than 50 SME issues in pipeline for next 6 months. Even BSE SME listed company IRIS Ltd has informed us that they are going to publish their result in regional language which will help the local investors in understanding their financials. We hope that in times to come many more companies will get listed on BSE SME Platform that will help in their growth and creation of employment in the country.
