Jan 19: In an effort to allow its banking customers go about doing seamless transactions across online platforms and offline retailers, Paytm Payments Bank has brought forth new physical Debit Cards.
The company has said that customers will now be able to order physical debit cards online via the Paytm app. The cards enable the company’s banking customers to withdraw money from ATMs.
It was only a month ago that Paytm Payments bank had launched UPI on its iOS app so as to power customers to create their own Paytm UPI IDs, issued by Paytm Payments Bank. The app in fact allows customers to connect their savings bank accounts with the Paytm UPI ID.
This will allow them to send or accept money directly into their bank accounts in a jiffy. Significant about this launch is that customers would not need to share account details or IFSC codes with anyone to receive money.
Further, the Paytm UPI IDs can be used at any of the 6 million Paytm partner retail outlets the company has listed across the country. Currently, the Paytm UPI IDs are being accepted across all banks and UPI apps.
Paytm, which started off as a payments platform, has now made its presence felt by unveiling various products including the recent Paytm Payments Bank, and Paytm Money.
