Oct 16: KITCO Ltd, India’s premier technical consultancy organisation, has been entrusted with the task of preparing a project report for setting up of a super-speciality hospital in Seychelles funded by India Government through EXIM Bank. The project was awarded through competitive bidding.

The Seychelles International Specialists Medical Centre will have various super-speciality wings such as cardiology, nephrology, specialist surgeries, orthopaedics, pulmonology, neurology and oncology. The project also aims to develop Seychelles into a destination for medical tourism. KITCO would submit the technical and financial feasibility of the project within 45 days. The report will help revive a hospital that was constructed 10 years ago but could not be completed.

KITCO is an empanelled consultant under EXIM bank for preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) and for Project Management Consultancy

Mr Cyriac Davies, Managing Director, KITCO Ltd and senior officials visited Seychelles recently and met Jean Paul Adam, Minister of Health, Dr Danny Louange, Chief Executive Officer of Health Care Agency, Ahmad Saeed, MD and CEO of Nouvobanq (Seychelles International Mercantile Banking Corporation Ltd) and Dr Ausaf Sayeed, High Commissioner of India in Seychelles.

“Bagging the Seychelles hospital project is an important milestone for KITCO in expanding its operations at a global level and we look forward to getting diverse projects from across the world,” Mr Cyriac Davies, MD said. Co-operation between India and Seychelles were strengthened after the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 10 and 11, 2015.

This is the second major project in healthcare sector bagged by KITCO. It had earlier submitted a Detailed Project Report in 2017 for setting up a state-of-the-art pharmaceutical manufacturing unit in Vietnam.
