GAIL’s First LNG Cargo from USA to Arrive at Dabhol Terminal

Mar 6: The first US sourced LNG Cargo of GAIL (India) Ltd will arrive at Dabhol Terminal around 28th of this month. The shipment was flagged off from Sabine Pass LNG export facility in Louisiana by B C Tripathi, Chairman and Managing Director of GAIL. This LNG cargo originated from Cheniere Energy LNG export facility at Sabine Pass LNG project.
Among those present were Jack Fusco, CEO of Cheniere and Dr Anupam Ray, Consul General of India in Houston and representatives of both the companies.
The LNG SPA, which was signed in December 2011, commenced on March 1, 2018,. Under the terms of the SPA, GAIL would purchase approximately 3.5 mn tonnes of LNG per year from Sabine Pass.
