Nov 24: Post unveiling the BHIM App, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has brought forth a new mobile app that aims at allowing the people of India to access all government services on a single platform.
The new app, christened Umang or Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance will have all services live on it, and they include Aadhaar, DigiLocker, Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS) and others.
Providing access to over 1,200 services of various government organisations in states and at the Centre as well as utility payments, the Umang mobile app is available on Android, iOS and Windows mobile phones.
It would all the people to access services offered by the Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), and also will help apply for a new permanent account number (PAN). Those looking for for jobs can register themselves under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana through the Umang app.
