Maharashtra based realty firm Transcon Developers set a role model for green living on World Environment Day by planting saplings in coconut shells instead of using plastic containers. The initiative was taken at its apartments at Tirumala Habitats in Transcon Skycity which has been evaluated and assigned as pre-certified platinum rated green building under the guidance of Indian Green Building Council. The project focuses on energy efficiency and healthy, sustainable environment.

Mr Aditya Kedia, Managing Director, Transcon Developers,
says, “In present times the key environmental concerns that need to be immediately addressed are waste disposal, pollution and emission of Green House Gas and most importantly eradicating plastic utilization. Environment protection is a prudent issue which should not be ignored. On the eve of World Environment Day, by planting samplings in coconut shells instead of plastic, we at Transcon Developers have extended our support towards plastic limitation and thus pledge to do our bit to conserve our precious environment.
