June 24: Xiaomi, the leading Chinese smartphone maker, might offer Samsung’s 64-megapixel sensor on its upcoming phone.
The South Korean phone maker Samsung rolled out the 64-megapixel a camera sensor in May. There are reports that the device will enter the market in the second half of 2019.
It has been hinted on the web that the international premiere of the 64-megapixel camera sensor will be carried out via an unknown Galaxy A series phone. The same will be featured in the upcoming Redmi phone that is to be launched in China. With the use of Samsung’s Tetracell technology, the new 64-megapixel ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor will capture 16-megapixel images in low-light settings.
Real-time HDR up to 100db will be supported by the new sensor. Apart from this, the smartphones housing the sensor will help the user capture 1080p slow motion videos and will also offer Super PD PDAF technology.
Initially, the rumors were that the Galaxy A70 price tagged Rs 26,990 will come with the 64 megapixel. In contrary to the rumors, the phone carried a 32-megapixel sensor. Now the rumors are that the upcoming phone named Samsung Galaxy A70S will feature the 64-megapixel camera.
Further details of the Redmi 64-megapixel camera phone were not revealed in the report. We will have to wait further to know which Redmi phone will feature Samsung’s 64-megapixel camera sensor.
