Vodafone-Trend Micro Partnership for Cloud-based End-Point Security Suite for Businesses

Jan 11: Telecom service provider Vodafone has entered into a partnership with Trend Micro to launch Vodafone Super Shield, which the company terms is a cutting edge end point security suite for businesses.

According to the telecom giant, Vodafone Super Shield is a complete end-point security suite that protects critical business data from a multitude of threats including malware attacks, ransom ware, spyware, phishing websites and data thefts. Super Shield is equipped with advanced enterprise grade features including USB port blocking, URL filtering and full disk encryption on Windows. Backed by Trend Micro’s Cloud based Global Smart Protection Network, it proactively identifies and blocks new and existing threats before they impact the devices.

Vodafone Super Shield comes across as a cloud-based end-point security across devices such as Windows, Macs, Servers, Android and iOS; and its enterprise grade features including Port Blocking, URL blacklisting and whitelisting, and disk encryption.

The company added that proactive monitoring features of the suite includes Behaviour Monitoring, Ransomware protection, Web and file reputation monitoring. It would be backed by Trend Micro’s Global Threat Protection Network, and advanced Machine Learning.

To be made available on the Vodafone Cloud Store with Vodafone’s dedicated Onboarding and Cloud Support, Vodafone Super Shield would offer users real-time updates on the cloud platform, thus eliminating the need for servers or complex IT infrastructure to manage the deployment. Its admin management feature is accessible anytime, anywhere from the URL-based admin console, it added.

Super Shield, Vodafone added, is designed to protect devices across platforms and devices including Windows PCs, MacBooks, Windows Servers as well as Android and iOS mobile platforms. It lets customers manage their users and licenses online, grant and revoke access, and generate reports and dashboards.
