June 17: Ride-sharing company Uber is joining hands with Bajaj Auto. With this deal, they aim to include Bajaj Qute passenger quadricycle in its UberXS services fleet. The Bajaj Qute can carry four people including the driver. It is a four-wheeler smaller and lighter when compared to a passenger car.
The company said it was happy to include Bajaj Qute in its UberXS fleet in Bengaluru. She went on to say that the company’s aim is to transform the mobility landscape of the cities by making use of technology to find solutions. Company’s dedication towards reducing transportation costs, improving the use of the asset and enhancing the convenience of the riders will be backed by the partnership with Bajaj.
Uber stated that Qute is apt for daily services as it has low running costs and is easy to drive as it carries a dash mounted sequential shift gears. The UberXS fleet will be powered by eco-friendly CNG fuel option that covers a mileage of 43km/kg.
Uber XS which is the latest ride category in India will initially, offer Bajaj Qute rides exclusively in Bengaluru.
The UberXS option will be available on the ride-sharing application from June 13. The ride category will be available in Indiranagar, Koramangala, HSR Layout and other regions of the outer ring road in Bengaluru.
