Sep 21: Tata Power Company Ltd, India’s leading integrated private power utility, on Thursday said that it has bagged three Gold awards in the recently held Chapter Convention on Quality Circle (CCQC) 2018 Award for excellent problem-solving capabilities and contribution of teams towards quality initiatives at Jojobera thermal power station.
“Three Quality Circle teams 1) Team Challenger 2) Team Pragati 3) Team Avenger (O&M) were bestowed with the most prestigious GOLD award under the ‘Lean QC’ category,” according to the company.
“Quality Circle is a small group activity of grass root employees guided by a Management representative termed as Facilitator/Coordinator, solving their work related problems by using quality tools. Nowadays they are also solving problems given by Management under a new concept called Lean QC,” it added.
