July 16: Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has launched its Find X smartphone in India. The company had unveiled the smartphone globally at an event held in Paris on June 12. The smartphone, which has been available on Flipkart comes with a price tag that reads Rs 59,990. Buyers can place pre-orders from July 25 onwards, and the smartphone will be made available from August 3.
A novel motorized camera slider mechanism which houses both the front and rear-facing cameras and other sensors is one of the highlights among the other features of the smartphone. This new camera will be a solution to take the bezel-less trend a ‘notch’ further by removing all sensors from the top bezel. This, in turn, gives the smartphone a screen-to-body ratio of 93.8 per cent, which is currently the highest in the market.
When it comes to the design, the smartphone sports a full glass body with a metal frame sandwiched in between. The fingerprint scanner does not come in this phone and for unlock option the phone flaunts a facial unlocking system. It can be done using the motorized slider named the O-Face. 3D facial recognition and 15 dot is used for precision and security. This is claimed to be more secure when compared to fingerprint scanning.
Find X comes with a 6.42-inch AMOLED display with resolution of 1080×2340. The phone which is run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor will be powered by Android Oreo 8.1 with Color OS 5.1. In terms of memory, the house 8 GB RAM with an in built storage of 128 GB / 256 GB. The 3730 mAh comes with VOOC fast charging technology.
The phone will be available in two color variants – Bordeaux Red and Glacier Blue. The color will be seen radiating from the sides of the back panel while the middle will be black.
Oppo has made announcements regarding the Lamborghini version of its newly launched Find X. Various details on the Lamborghini version will be given out by the company in coming days.
