Feb 18: Chinese smartphone maker Oppo is quite famous in its home market and the Indian market. Oppo is placed among the top five smartphone makers in both the markets.
Realme, Oppo’s new offshoot phone has garnered attention in India’s mid-range market. Currently, Oppo is focusing on its main area of proficiency photography. Now there are official teasers out which confirm that Oppo is soon to launch a smartphone with a 48MP camera in India.
Oppo has begun teasing the F11 Pro on the company’s Indian and global Twitter account. The 6-second video shared on the global Twitter handle boasts the smartphones feature to click amazing photos using the 48MP camera even in low light. Meanwhile, on its Indian Twitter account, the company has posted an image of rear view of Oppo F11 Pro changing color from blue and red.
Oppo F11 Pro will be the successor of Oppo F9 Pro. Oppo has skipped the number 10, which might have been done to avoid confusion with last year’s Find X. Oppo gets an option to choose between Sony IMX586 and the Samsung ISOCELL GM1 sensors for its 48MP sensor. The mention of low-light photography hints the Sony IMX586 and the Samsung ISOCELL GM1 sensors. The same was seen in smartphones like Honor View 20 and Redmi Note 7.
Even though Oppo avoided sharing the launch date of the new phone, there are rumors that the bookings for the phone will begin on February 22 in India. Thus the official launch might happen after February 22.
There are images of the phone leaked online which reveal a fingerprint scanner at the rear. This resolves the rumors that the phone is to offer an in-display fingerprint scanner like the Oppo K1. The phone is also rumored to carry a pop-up selfie camera of 32MP at the center of the smartphone. The same selfie sensor will also be seen in the upcoming Vivo V15 Pro, which is to be rolled out in the Indian market next week.
Oppo’s AI “Ultra-Clear Engine” is made use by the Super Night Mode on the F11 Pro. Ultra-Clear Engine provides services like identifying the scene, enhancing colors in the dark, and assures that the images are stabilized even in low light. The phone, Oppo F11 Pro, houses the high-end processor MediaTek SoC, along with 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage.
Price of the phone is not revealed by the company but it is expected to be less than Rs 30,000.
