Oct 29: HMD Global launched its Nokia 7.1 in London recently. What’s exciting is the fact that the phone will make its entry in the Indian market in November – that’s in a few days from now.
The upcoming online exclusive phone has been exhibited at the Indian Mobile Congress. As per reports, the phone is priced below Rs 30,000.
The mid-range handset, akin to the Nokia 6.1 Plus, will also be powered by Snapdragon 636 SoC. The 5.84-inch PureDisplay full-HD+ display with HDR10 support is the highlight of the device. The dual camera set up on the rear comes with Carl Zeiss optics.
According to HMD Global, the smartphone is able to convert normal videos to HDR at real-time, and this will allow buyers to enjoy higher contrast (1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio) even if the content is of standard quality.
When it comes to the specifications, the phone which is available in 3GB +32GB RAM and storage configurations will also come with a 4GB RAM and 64GB storage configuration. The primary camera in the dual camera set up is a 12-megapixel sensor and the secondary is a 5-megapixel sensor backed by dual flash. The fixed focus camera at the front carries an 8- megapixel sensor. Both the camera sensors are enabled with the Live Bokeh mode.
Dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, NFC, and GPS with GLONASS are the connectivity options available in the smartphone. With Qualcomm’s aptX support, the phone gets a Smart amp. When it comes to the software section, the phone houses the stock version of Android 8.1 Oreo. The phone is said to get an Android 9.0 Pie update soon. With fast charging capability, the phone carries a 3,060mAh battery.
