Maruti Offers Discounts on Ignis, Baleno, Ciaz, S-Cross Models

June 14: The auto industry is currently cruising at a slow pace. To speed up sales, the automakers are increasingly ushering in discounts, exchange schemes, and corporate benefits. Maruti Suzuki NEXA is giving special offers for the models sold at its outlets. The cars sold at NEXA include Ignis, Baleno, Ciaz, and S-Cross.

The tallboy hatchback car Maruti Ignis had recently crossed the 1 lakh sales milestone. Ignis is the most affordable car that is being sold though NEXA. Along with an exchange bonus of Rs.25,000 and a corporate bonus of Rs.5,000, the company offers a discount of Rs. 20,000.

In May 2019 the sales of Maruti Baleno decreased by 12.55 percent. Maruti sold 17,355 units in April 2019 while in May it got reduced to 15,176. Baleno holds a 27 percent share in the entry-level premium hatchback segment. An exchange bonus of Rs.15,000 and a corporate discount of Rs.5,000 is offered for this car.

The Sigma, Delta, Zeta manual variants of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz are offered at a cash discount of Rs. 15,000 and exchange bonus of Rs. 35,000. Maruti and all its dealers are gearing up to sell the existing stock before the launch of BS6 variants.

Road tests for the BS IV compliant Ciaz have already begun. The car was also seen with a Smart Hybrid badging on its boot lid. This means that the mild hybrid set up will also be sold as seen in its seen on the current model. Exchange scheme of Rs.35,000 is offered on Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Automatic and on the Alpha manual variants.

NEXA’s flagship product, S-Cross, the most expensive car of the company is offered with a discount of Rs 20,000 and an exchange bonus of Rs 35,000. The sales of the car got reduced by 67 percent to 1,507 units in May 2019 whereas the sales stood ar 4,610 units in May 2018. The reports are that the lowest sales are registered after two years.

Meanwhile, the S-Cross petrol is poised for launch. The company is also considering the K15B smart hybrid petrol engine that was featured in Ciaz and new generation Ertiga. Maruti Suzuki India aims to regain its sales adding more cars including Alto new gen.
