May 18: The Heavy Civil Infrastructure business of Mumbai-based L&T Construction has bagged orders worthRs 1,504 crore.
“The business has won a marine infrastructure project of national importance by securing an order from the Cochin Shipyard Ltd for part design and construction of a Dry Dock along with associated works,” the company said in a filing on Friday.
According to the company, the prestigious project involves the construction of a new Dry Dock-03, MEP works including pump house, crane rail foundations, caisson entrance gates & intermediate gates, quay wall crane piers, underground substation & tunnels and grand assembly area which is to be completed in stringent timelines.
“This is a significant win in the heavy civil infrastructure space and a major project for us,” said S N Subrahmanyan, CEO & MD – Larsen & Toubro. “This mandate is truly representative of our expertise and proven track record of constructing marine infrastructure all along the Indian coastline. We are confident of delivering this project too on time to international quality standards,” he added.
The company further said that L&T GeoStructure has received an order from the Kalinga International Coal Terminal Paradip Pvt Ltd for construction of piling, diaphragm wall and berth deck at Paradip Port, Odisha.
