May 24: The construction arm of Mumbai-based Larsen & Toubro Ltd (L&T) has won new orders worth Rs2,112 crore.
According to the company, the buildings & factories business has secured orders worth Rs 1,565 crore which include an order from Airport Authority of India for the Modernization of Chennai Airport, Phase-II, Chennai, Tamilnadu.
“This brown field project is to be completed in two phases within stringent time lines and involves the construction of 2.1 Million Sq. ft. of passenger terminal building including basement, finishing works, electro-mechanical works and airport Systems,” the company said.
Another order also has been received from a leading developer for the construction of multi level car parking with an integrated commercial mall at Chennai airport. This project involves the construction of 1 million Sq. ft. of Multi Level Car Parking Building including 2.5 lakhs Sq. ft. of commercial mall on design and build model.
Further, the power transmission & distribution business of the company has secured orders worth Rs 547 crore.
“A major EPC order is secured from a reputed customer. This order is for turnkey construction of EHV Substations,” the company said.
L&T shares were trading at Rs 1,333.90, up 0.50% from the previous closing of Rs 1,327.20, on BSE at 11.53 am today.
