Aug 6: The construction arm of Mumbai-based Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Monday said that the company has won new orders worth Rs 1,296 crore across its various business segments.
According to the company, the Metallurgical and Material Handling (MMH) Business has received orders worth Rs 808 crore.
“L&T – MMH continues to strengthen its market presence in Alumina, Steel & product manufacturing sector by securing an order from HINDALCO at Rayagada, Odisha and JSW at Dolvi, Maharashtra. Add-ons from ongoing jobs continue to exhibit the confidence customers have in L&T’s Metallurgical & Material Handling Business’s EPC capabilities,” the company said.
Further, the Water & Effluent Treatment Business of the company has bagged a Rs 488 crore order from Karnataka Power Corporation Ltd, for the execution of a water supply pipeline from Narayanpur reservoir to Kushtagi in the Krishna basin. The scope of the work includes supply and laying of water supply pipe lines including all electro mechanical works. This project aims to augment water requirements for their existing power plant at Bellary, according to the company.
