Aug 21: Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio Infocomm has registered a commendable performance in terms of customer base expansion. The latest player in the telecom industry has managed to gain close to one crore new customers during the month of June alone.
According to the data provided by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, Jio has managed to add 97 lakh subscribers in June. The closest rival in terms of new subscriber was Idea, which managed to add 64 lakh customers in June. The lowest gain was for market leader Airtel, which managed to add only a paltry 10,689 customers in June.
The figures are among the smallest number for Bharti Airtel during the recent times. .
