Jio Launches AI-Backed Jio Interact Service to Boost Customer Engagement

May 7: Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio has launched a new service called Jio Interact that relies on artificial intelligence to offer multiple services to its customers. The feature, touted to be a first-of-its-kind, has been deployed inside the MyJio app to boost customer engagement by providing them ervices like video call centres, video catalogue, and virtual showrooms.

As a first service, the Jio Interact offered Liveo Video Call to the users with Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, starting on May 4. The superstar can be seen promoting his upcoming comedy-drama movie ‘102 Not Out’ in an innovative way through the video call.

Users will also be able to ask questions related to the movie to Amitabh Bachchan. In addition to that, they can also book movie tickets in real-time through ticketing partner BookMyShow.

Jio Interact is backed by AI technology that listens to user queries and responds to them accordingly. The AI is also honed with auto-learning features to help deliver answers with better accuracy to the users.

Jio will promote its new Jio Interact service as a platform for movie-promotion and brand engagement, starting with the Live Video Call facility with Bachchan for ‘102 Not Out’. Additional features like video call centres and the like for customer engagement will be added in the coming days to the service.

According to the statement from Jio, Jio Interact, positioned as VCBaaS (Video Cal Bot as a Service), comes with full-scale multimedia capabilities that would attempt to democratize Artificial Intelligence and video call technologies in a simplified way for boosting brand engagement. The technology will be deployed for widescale applications across the business-to-consumer space in the coming days.
