June 25: Automotive brand Jeep has brought forth its Bedrock edition, a limited- run model special edition, of the company’s Compass SUV. The car which will only be available as a diesel model, and will be available in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 17.53 lakh.
The Bedrock edition is built on the base Sport trim and features more equipment and internal as well as external cosmetic changes. The launch of the latest edition is to celebrate the sale of the 25,000 units of Compass SUV.
As for the external features, the special edition of Compass SUV comes with a black finished 16 inch alloy wheels, decals on the doors and black roof rails. The SUV will be available in three color variants which include Vocal White, Minimal Grey and Exotica Red.
Bedrock- badged seat covers, novel floor mats and 5.0 inch infotainment system which can also be used as a reversing camera with active guidance are the internal features found in the SUV. Basic equipment including dual- front airbags, ABS with EBD, stability and traction control, four- wheel disc brakes, power adjust &folding wing mirrors and an electric parking brake will also be found in the Sport trim based SUV.
The Compass Bedrock edition is offered with 173hp, 2.0-litre diesel engine which powers the front wheels with six- speed manual transmission.
There is also news that the company is all set to bring Trail Rated version of Compass in the Indian market post which they will also launch Renegade facelift. The company is working on a sub -4m SUV for the Indian market.
