Jan 18: Hyundai is all set to launch its new facelifted version of its much popular i20 in India at the Auto Expo 2018. News reports say that the company has brought in many changes to the current edition i20 ahead of lining up the latest version just in time for the Auto Expo.
It is being reported that the company has put away some of the features in the new i20 Asta variant. The updated brochure of the Asta variant reveals that the car will have a rear defogger. However, it will come without the speed-sensing auto door lock, rear wiper and washer. Regular alloy wheels in a 5- spoke design will replace the diamond cut alloy wheel.
A 7.0-inch touch screen infotainment system with navigation as well as Mirror Link, Apple Car Play and Android Auto connectivity will be offered in the i20 Asta facelift. Apart from this it will also come with automatic climate control, and rear air conditioning vents. The new variant will also get features such as ABS, fog lamps, rear parking sensors and rear camera. All variants of i20 will have driver and passenger side airbags, it is learnt.
There are reports that the Hyundai i20 facelift will also be equipped with a new gearbox, a CVT- automatic which is expected to be mated to a 1.2 litre Kappa engine. Apart from the internal mechanical updates i20 is also expected to get external cosmetic updates.
A single piece cascade grille similar to that of new Verna will replace the two part grille on the current i20. Tweaked bumpers, headlights and the new alloy wheels are also included in the list of modification, the reports added.
