Huami Amazfit Bip and Amazfit Stratos Smart Watches Arrive in India

July 27: Huami, owned by Chinese giant Xiaomi, has launched its smart watches, Amazfit Bip and Amazfit Stratos, in the Indian market. Both the smart watches have appeared online on Flipkart.

The Amazfit Bip, an entry level smart device, is priced Rs 5,499. On the other hand, the high- end Amazfit Stratos is priced Rs 15,999. The entry level Amazfit Bip comes in color variants including Cinnabar Red, Kokoda Green, Onyx Black, and White Cloud colors. The other, Amazfit Stratos comes only in one color, Black.

The fashionable Amazfit Stratos comes with a 1.34 inch trans-reflective color LCD with 2.5 D curved glass and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The dual-core 1.2GHz processor is accompanied by 512MB RAM and 4 GB storage.  The smart watch flaunts a battery life of five days. Both the smart watch can be connected to both iOS and Android devices through Mi Fit. Connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS, and GLONASS are offered in the watch.

The smart watch has various other features to add to its posh look. It houses an optical (PPG) heart rate sensor, a three-axis accelerometer, air pressure sensor, ambient light sensor, barometer, geomagnetic sensor, and gyroscope. The 50m water resistant smartphone can track activity and monitor heart rate.

When it comes to the basic Amazfit Bip, Huami offers a 1.28 inch trans-reflective color display 2.5 D curved glass and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smart watch which is compatible with both iOS and Android comes with an Always-On display feature. IP68 rated Amazfit Bip has a battery life of 45 days. It can also be customized with changeable watch band.

Like the Amazfit Stratos, Bip can also track activity and monitor heart rate using the optical (PPG) heart rate sensor. A three-axis acceleration sensor, barometer, electronic compass, GPS and a geomagnetic sensor are the other sensors seen in the smart watch.
