Sep 12: Bangalore-headquartered Hinduja Global Solutions (HGS) has strengthened its presence in Indore by setting up a second delivery center there.

The new facility, with 45,500 square feet of space and a capacity of 700 seats, is dedicated to provide high quality customer experience for an ecommerce giant and its end-consumers. HGS has hired about 350 customer support professionals for the new center since July, 2017 and is expected to be 800-plus by end of 2017.

HGS is supporting this cause as part of their CSR agenda. Centum, the corporate training company, will be the training partner for this initiative and has vast experience in conducting training programs for PwDs and others from marginalized backgrounds. NASSCOM Foundation will be the overall owner of the initiative ensuring the maximum impact, a statement said.

HGS entered Indore in September, 2015. Since then, the company has grown significantly to become one of the largest BPM (Business Process Management) companies in Madhya Pradesh’s commercial capital.

While the center at Race Course Road will continue to serve the company’s telecom client base with 3,100+ employees, HGS’ second center in Vijay Nagar will cater to increased business demand. Indore is currently HGS’ second largest delivery location in India, it added.

Partha DeSarkar, Global CEO of HGS, said, “HGS believes in creating global hubs of talent to support top brands. This is aligned to our strategy to create tangible differentiators to help make our clients more competitive across customer experience functions. We are excited to expand our presence in Indore as its rich talent provides a great potential for scale and complements our expertise in delivering higher value to clients.”

Indore has a huge talent base with thousands of graduates passing out of over 65 colleges per annum and more than 14,000 people already employed in BPM companies in the city. HGS is looking at hiring Hindi and English-speaking under-graduates and graduates from the city and nearby towns.
