GoZero Unveils 2 New Electric Bikes for India

 March 30: The Indian automobile industry has shown considerable growth in the two-wheeler electric mobility sector, of late. The growth has been credited to the electric scooters, while there other manufacturers who find it a potential market and are looking to tap the possibility of a good business. The UK based electric bike maker GoZero Mobility is one among them.

GoZero has commenced its operations in India with two new products. The Mile and One launched by GoZero in India comes with a price tag of Rs. 29,999 and Rs. 32,999 respectively.

GoZero Mile with a 300 Wh battery gets a range of 45 kms and thus is apt for daily transport. Meanwhile, the GoZero One is apt for trekking and off-road journeys as it is powered by 400 Wh battery that provides it a range of 60 km.

The fatter rubber with slightly more profiling and a tweaked front shock absorber is also featured in One, making it more equipped for off-road trips. Disc brakes, cruise control, and display screen remain the same in both the bikes.

A report said that the swappable batteries in the bike can be removed and plugged into the normal power sockets. Just like the smartphone batteries, the batteries featured in both the bike gets charged fully within 2.5 hours of charging.

As of now, the Indian electric bike market is in the primary stage where GoZero is very advantageous. GoZero has its operations in metro cities in India which it will later expand to various small cities in the country.


In the next three years, the company intends to open 80 dealerships and 18 experience centers in and around India. In order to begin local manufacturing, the UK company has teamed up with Kirti Solar, a Kolkata based company.

News is that GoZero will launch three more products this year. Out of this, one will target the online food delivery companies Swiggy and Zomato.

GoZero stated that he is confident that the brand will be accepted by the customers. The company’s aim is to attain an annual production of 75,000 units with around 1000 touch points across India within 5 years.
