Dec 22: Engineering firm Dilip Buildcon Ltd (DBL) on Friday said that it has been awarded two new EPC projects valued at Rs 517.81 crore by Ircon International Ltd, a state-run engineering and construction company which is specialized in transport infrastructure.
According to DBL, both the orders worth Rs 157.23 crore and Rs 360.58 crore are for six-laning of Davanagere-Haveri section of NH-48 (old NH-4) in the state of Karnataka. The orders have completion periods of 24 months, it said.
Bhopal-based DBL’s core business is undertaking construction projects across India in the roads and irrigation sectors on an EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) basis. The company is present in 14 states including Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Karnataka among others.
Shares of the company surged more than 4% to touch a new one week-high of Rs 969 on BSE today morning trade, after the news came in. At 10.14 am, the Rs 10 face value shares were trading at Rs 963, up 3.67% from the previous closing of Rs 928.90.
