March 19: Seraphine, the British maternity fashion label, has lined up plans to open its first India outlet. The company has chosen Select Citywalk Mall in New Delhi to offer its products by the end of March. The store would bring to customers a stylish range of fashion attire for new moms and moms-to-be.
According to a news report, the British fashion label founded by French businesswoman and designer Cecile Reinaud will be driven in India by Rajat Kapoor, Master Franchisee and India Head. Seraphine, which is today a major brand would be diversifying the channels for the availability of its fashionable maternity wear label In India.
Seraphine also has plans to establish an online store shortly after the store launch to reach expecting mothers all across India, the report added.
The brand has among its clientele the British Royalty and also A-list celebrities like Kate Winslet, Christina Aguilera, Jessica Alba, Gwen Stefani, and Anne Hathaway. With the upcoming launch in India, the brand is looking to lure celebrities in India too.
The maternity wear industry, which is estimated at Rs 2000 crore, has been growing around 15-17 per cent year-on-year. Seraphine in India would aim at tapping this opportunity and grow its brand in a big way in the country.
