Berggruen Strengthens N Indian Foothold with New Keys Lite Mayfield Hotel

Nov 13:  Establishing a stronger foothold on the north Indian terrain, Berggruen Hotels, part of the $2 billion Los Angeles-based Berggruen Group, has unveiled a its new Keys property at  Gurugram.

The new hotel, christened Keys Lite Mayfield, is aimed at luring the corporate as well as the leisure travel segment, according to a company statement. The new hotel adds to the existing four Keys hotels in the northern region, and provides a stronger foothold to the brand in the region.

Significantly, the Keys Lite Mayfield hotel is the third hotel Keys has launched this quarter after the Keys Hotel in Port Blair and Keys Prima in Ramgarh. Berggruen Hotels currently has 22 hotels in 20 cities.

Anshu Sarin, CEO, Berggruen Hotels said, “Gurugram is an important market for Keys Hotels. Though it is located just over 30 kilometers southwest of national capital New Delhi, the city has emerged as a major finance and technology hub in its own right. We see it as one of the major gateways to North India and, crucially, the new hotel allows us to establish our presence in the region.”

The company has stated that the new Keys property, which is being offered under the brand promise of Your Happy Stays, allows guests the luxury of a hotel with the warmth and comfort of a home stay. It also offers carefully-curated, multi-cuisine food as a part of the Keys Happy Menu.  The hotel is located at a short distance from popular business areas such as Unitech Cyber Park and popular entertainment spots like Baani Square and Good Earth City Centre.
