March 16: Indian electric scooter startup Avan Motors, had announced that the company will launch new products priced between Rs 45,000 and Rs 80,000 once every month. Ever since Avan Motors launched the new bike Trend Eat the Auto Expo 2019, Bengaluru, the spree of new vehicle launches had commenced.
The newly unveiled Trend E, part of the Xero series powered by a lithium-ion battery, produces a speed of 45 km/h. With a single battery set up, the electric scooter can cover a distance of up to 60 km and with a double battery setup it can cover up to 110 km. The charge time for the lithium-ion battery is 2 to 4 hours.
The new Trend E houses a hydraulic telescopic front suspension and a coil spring rear suspension. The alloy wheel at the front comes with disc brakes while the one at the back carries drum brakes. The scooter can carry a max load of 150 kg. Avan Motors’ R&D has created the scooter with a powerful mix of technology and design, said a report.
The new scooter comes with newly added features based on the opinions and requirements of the riders. This gives an excellent riding experience for the buyers. The scooter offers the finest of the features which will include the detachable lithium-ion battery pack, stylish looks, and the high ground clearance. Apart from this, with the aesthetic and technological brilliance blended together, e-scooter can be used throughout the industry. He added that Trend E will also be able to win the minds of the customers.
As per the company, in order to enhance the EV industry in India, the launch of the second phase of the Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles (FAME-2) scheme, with Rs. 10,000 crore allocated for a three-year long period was very essential.
