Apple Watch Series 3 with Cellular Support Now Up for Pre-order via Network Operators

May 4: Reliance Jio has commenced pre-orders for the cellular edition of Apple Watch Series 3. The Apple Watch Series 3 that comes with e-SIM support can now be pre-ordered from the website.

Alongside, Jio has also listed the price of the Apple Watch Series 3 Cellular, disclosing it ahead of any official word from Apple. Apart from Jio, Apple Watch Series 3 with Cellular support will also be sold by Airtel, who will open the pre-order window shortly.

Apple Watch Series 3 will come with support for GPS and LTE connection, and is priced slightly above the regular GPS-only edition of the smartwatch. As listed in the pre-order page, the 38mm size variant of the watch will cost Rs 39,080, while the 42mm variant will cost Rs 41,120. To recall, the regular GPS-only edition as priced at Rs 32,380 for the 38mm size, and Rs 34,410 for the 42 mm size.

Apple will also offer variant with Seashell Short loop for an extra payment of Rs 40 for both the size variants. Apple Watch Series 3 with Cellular will also don a ceramic outfit to lure the premium goers. The version will be available in both 38mm and 42mm size variants, with respective price-tags of Rs 1,18,030 and Rs 1,22,090. A Nike+ edition is also being made available at a price of Rs 39,130.

The cellular support on the smartwatch will be available in the form of e-SIM, which will be offered by RJio and Airtel. The usage of e-SIM services will help users to access notifications on the Apple Watch Series 3 without having to establish a connection with the iPhone.

For RJio users, the e-SIM option will be made available to all prepaid and postpaid customers at no extra charge. As for Airtel users, the e-SIM services will be available to only those prepaid users who are under Airtel My Plan or Infinity Plan. Airtel will also offer the services to all its postpaid users.
