May 8: OnePlus isn’t definitely in a mood to keep the specifications of its upcoming flagship undisclosed. The company has kept teasing and revealing many of the features, and the latest to join that revelation list is the presence of a glass back.
OnePlus ambassador Amitabh Bachchan had recently posted an image on Twitter, in which he can be seen holding the device with CEO Pete Lau. Thanks to the image that we now have a more detailed look into the rear face of the device.
Apparently, OnePlus 6 will be sporting a glass back inclining with the rumors. This also opens up the possibility of support for wireless charging in the device, a first for the company.
In addition to the glass back confirmation, the image also reveals the arrangement of the rear-optics in the device. Contrary to reports that OnePlus will clone the camera arrangement of iPhone X, the image reveals that OnePlus 6 will house its dual camera at the centre of the rear side.
The flashlight gets positioned right below the camera, while the fingerprint sensor is placed to the bottom of the flashlight. The bottom positioning of the fingerprint sensor should also help in improving the ergonomics of the device.
The image was taken down shortly after it circulated online. In another tease, OnePlus has also confirmed the presence of super slow-mo recording in the device. The feature along with the support for wireless charging would certainly take the smartphone a level up among flagship devices. OnePlus 6 is also said to feature heart-rate sensor as teased by another image.
Other confirmed specification include Snapdragon 845 SoC, 6GB/8GB RAM variants, 6.2-inch notch display with possibly Full HD+ resolution, 16MP+20MP rear camera, and a 20MP front facing camera with face unlock support.
